VOCATIONAL
REHABILITATION'S MISSON
"The
mission of the ADI Vocational Rehabilitation Program is to
instill individuals with the hope and the confidence necessary
to improve the quality of their lives by providing them with
vocational counseling, training and job opportunities needed
to attain their highest employment and individual potential."
What
is Vocational Rehabilitation?
Vocational
Rehabilitation is an individualized, long-term process in which
an individual, in partnership with a Vocational Counselor, learns
to identify his or her strengths, resources, abilities, capabilities,
and interests in order to develop employment goals, training
and objectives. The ADI Vocational Program is not a placement
service; rather it is aimed at Recovery, Rehabilitation and skills
training with the belief that each individual has strengths and
abilities to become independent and self-sufficient within their
community. ADI offers a community, strengths-based approach to
Vocational Rehabilitation, in that it offers real world business
practices and teaches normative work skills and psychosocial
rehabilitation.
Aspen
Diversified Industries Vocational Rehabilitation Services Program
is dedicated to helping jobseekers find successful employment
in the competitive job markets of today. The level and degree
to which reintegration occurs includes consideration of the personal
choice and the readiness of each client. The purpose of reintegration,
through Recovery based Vocational Rehabilitation, is to encourage
growth, increase self-confidence and improve the quality of life
of each consumer/client. The goal of the program is not to find
jobs for consumer/clients, but to give them the skills needed
to procure suitable employment and give them back a feeling of
self-worth. This can be done through community work, training,
education, volunteering and placement in a work setting. The
mission of the program is to facilitate self-discovery through
the process of Vocational Rehabilitation. Vocational Rehabilitation
permeates all levels of ADI and is designed to do the same with
other businesses in the community. |
